Adopt-A-Roadway
Scholarships
Annually, NPHC Pittsburgh awards two (2) $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school seniors and college students. The 2025 NPHC Pittsburgh Scholarship application will open in October.
Adopt-A-Roadway
NPHC Pittsburgh officially adopted Laketon Road from Frankstown Road to Graham Boulevard. Through the Allegheny County Adopt‐a‐Roadway Program, NPHC Pittsburgh organizes cleanup events and Allegheny County posts recognition signs along the adopted roadway, to credit the individual or group’s efforts.
NPHC Pittsburgh cleans up twice a year– once in Spring and again in the Fall.
Divine Nine Community Day
Every summer, NPHC Pittsburgh hosts a free, family-friendly celebration, bringing the community together for an afternoon of unity, food, music, and fun. This event includes free stuffed bookbags for students, haircuts for young men, and games and entertainment for all ages. This annual event highlights the commitment of uplifting and investing in the Pittsburgh community.
Monthly Community Service Projects
Community service is the foundation of our impact. The council participates in a community service project monthly. Notably, previous partners include the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Open Streets Pittsburgh, Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and their Young Professionals affiliate, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Public Schools.
The Community Service Committee oversees the planning and execution of all community service projects.
